clay jar

It's a clay jar. (I'm not sure if it sould be here.) Done for my Art Survey class a couple weeks ago. Made with clay, coil method, bisk fired, 3 coats of black glaze, fired again, end result. Took about a month. The design carved in to the face is a stylized version of the symbol I use as my sig and on the top of the lid is the Japanese character "hitsuji" (sheep; my name means sheep in hebrew).

It looks really strange, and I didn't put glaze on the very bottom (the white strip) but I like it because I made it (I sound so corny...).
